Belastingombud-klagtes toon aan dat die SAID nie meer vertrou word nie

‘n Parlementêre vraag van die VF Plus oor klagtes wat oor die belastinggaarder (SAID) ontvang is sedert die belastingombud tot stand gekom het, dui daarop dat als nie wel in die SAID is nie en dat dié diens al hoe minder vertrou kan word om dispute met belastingbetalers self te hanteer.

Adv. Anton Alberts, die VF Plus se parlementêre woordvoerder oor finansies, het aan die minister van finansies gevra hoeveel klagtes rakende die SAID by die ombud ingedien is sedert sy aanstelling in Oktober 2013.

Uit die antwoord blyk dit dat daar ‘n ingrypende toename in klagtes is. In die finansiële jaar 2013/14 is 156 klagtes ingedien, in 2014/15 – 1,270, in 2015/16 – 2,133, en in 2016/17 – 3,188.

Adv. Alberts sê die toename in dispute wat die belastingombud hanteer groei ontstellend vinnig en dui op ‘n groeiende tendens van wantroue in die SAID.

“Die wantroue gaan vorentoe net toeneem soos belastingbetalers besef dat die SAID die stelsel geword het waardeur die Guptas en ANC gevoed word ten koste van Suid-Afrika en sy mense,” sê adv. Alberts.
