Grant Marais the new Western Cape Deputy Chair

The FF Plus in the Western Cape unanimously appointed Mr Grant Marais as the province’s new Deputy Chair. He replaces adv Lennit Max, who resigned from the party.

Mr Marais currently serves as an FF Plus councillor in the Cape Town Metro and as a member of the Metro’s Portfolio Committee on Water and Sanitation.

Mr Marais is well-known in his community because of his many years of serving the people, particularly where there is great need.

He is an active executive member of the Bruin Bemagtiging Beweging [Brown Empowerment Movement] (BBB), a civil rights organisation founded by the late Dr Danny Titus and Mr Peter Marais with the aim of promoting the interests of the coloured community.

Mr Marais joined the FF Plus in November 2018. Prior to that, he was the branch manager and manager of African Bank’s insurance division in Atlantis as well as the relations manager of ABSA Bank in Tyger Valley.

His studies focused on the financial field and after matriculation in 1992 he obtained, among other things, an NQR (Level 6) in Wealth Management and Investments at the Gordon Institute of Business Science. He is currently busy with his final year of an LLB course through UNISA.

As a member of the FF Plus, Mr Marais set himself apart as a hard worker who is actively involved in party-related activities in the province.

He serves on various structures and is, among other things, a member of the Western Cape Provincial Council, the Provincial Legal Committee as well as the party’s Federal Council.

Mr Marais is an admired and valued member of the party in the Western Cape whose competence and willingness to work hard among all communities in need cannot be questioned.
