We, the undersigned residents of the Tshwane Metro, hereby reject the unlawful and inconsistent implementation of the so-called cleaning charge. The Metro is inaccurately billing residents by charging double tariffs and unjustified costs on both personal and business accounts – without any valid basis.
This is not service delivery; it borders on financial malpractice and bullying tactics against innocent consumers who are already under financial strain.
The Freedom Front Plus (VF Plus) supports legal action, public resistance and organised opposition to these disgraceful practices.
We demand:
- Immediate suspension of the charge until all legal and public participation processes have been concluded.
- Immediate correction of all erroneous accounts along with repayment of unlawfully charged amounts.
- Absolute transparency regarding the calculation, application and fairness of the tariffs.
- Accountability from the dysfunctional ANC, EFF and ActionSA coalition, which has plunged Tshwane’s administration into chaos.
