We, the undersigned residents of the Saldanha Bay municipal area, support the Freedom Front Plus’s formal objection to the new property valuations as reflected in the Municipality’s valuation roll for the period 1 July 2026 to 30 June 2030.
We believe that:
- The increases in the valuations are excessive and do not reflect actual market value.
- The calculations and methodology lack transparency.
- These increases place an unfair financial burden on households and businesses, negatively impacting job opportunities and local economic growth.
We demand:
- Complete transparency in all calculations and criteria.
- An independent review of all valuations.
- Fair and equitable application that reflects real market conditions.
This petition does not replace the official objection property owners may lodge with the Municipal Manager in terms of section 49 of the Municipal Property Rates Act. The Freedom Front Plus urges all immoveable property owners to lodge individual objections in addition to signing this petition.
