The ANC government’s apparent shock at the fact that Australia is looking to fast-track immigration visas for South African farmers is quite amusing given the state’s own contribution to creating the very circumstances that the Australian government finds worrying, namely cruel farm murders and expropriation without compensation.
The government simply cannot think that the world will look away as it follows in the disastrous footsteps of other failed governments, like Zimbabwe and Venezuela.
The world is indeed starting to take notice of the true communist nature of the ANC and, therefore, the party must not be surprised if disinvestment occurs spontaneously and if other countries also start to offer their help to targeted minorities.
The ANC needs to realise that numerous European countries, along with Britain and America, are starting to feel sceptical and worried about the ANC government – so similar visa offers and disinvestment can be expected from other countries as well.
The only way for the ANC to save face in the international community is to abandon the policy of expropriation without compensation, to combat farm murders through effective policing and to confirm minorities’ rights as South African citizens by phasing out Black Economic Empowerment (BEE) and Affirmative Action (AA).
Until this happens, the world will keep regarding South Africa with more and more suspicion and investments as well as talented, hard-working citizens will keep leaving the country.
