On the 3rd of April, a FF Plus delegation under the leadership of Michal Groenewald, FF Plus provincial leader in the North West, intervened to restore the water supply to Coligny.
An inspection, conducted locally by the FF Plus candidate Piet Pretorius and other business owners in town, revealed that the problems can easily be solved by doing basic maintenance work on some of the electric pumps.
During a meeting convened by the FF Plus, the mayor of Coligny, Councillor Buthelezi, undertook to make restoring the water supply a priority.
The first electricians and technicians arrived while the meeting was still ongoing. The abovementioned interested parties then left to oversee the repair work at the problem areas and to ensure that the crisis was addressed professionally and efficiently.
The mayor also assured the FF Plus that the new budget will make ample provision for the maintenance and improvement of Coligny’s water infrastructure.
This serves as proof that the FF Plus gets results by taking decisive action.
