FF Plus regards Bell Pottinger’s excuse as media spin / fake news and will lodge criminal complaints on the domestic front and will liaise with the British Minister of Foreign Affairs on the international front

The FF Plus rejects Bell Pottinger (BP)’s excuse for its behaviour in South Africa and is of the opinion that the organisation simply apologised to try and save its reputation and not because there is any real remorse for the racial polarisation that was brought about, says adv. Anton Alberts, chairperson of the FF Plus.

Adv. Alberts says that BP’s behaviour, excuse and self-investigation is superficial and very similar in nature to the self-investigation that the Gupta-linked Trillian Capital Partners launched, which produced nothing but an incomplete report due to the lack of cooperation by several people in the company.

He says that it is all part of a campaign of making excuses, which has nothing to do with real remorse or changing their ways. It is merely a reaction to getting caught out.

“For that reason, the FF Plus will lodge a criminal complaint of terrorism against Bell Pottinger in terms of the Protection of Constitutional Democracy against Terrorist and Related Activities Act 33 of 2004.

“The FF Plus is going to ask that Bell Pottinger’s commissioning clients be identified and that the same complaint be lodged against them for investigation. Based on the GuptaLeaks emails it seems like the Guptas and Duduzane Zuma, the president’s son, are involved in this.

“The FF Plus has determined, by means of a legal investigation, that any actions outside the borders of South Africa that have an effect within the borders of the country, are included under the definition of terrorism.

“The FF Plus will inform the British Minister of Foreign Affairs, Boris Johnson, of BP’s actions as well as the complaint. The FF Plus will request that the Minister investigates to what extent BP has disturbed international relations between South Africa and Britain by interfering with South Africa’s domestic affairs, which is in contravention of international law.

“Whether BP has broken any laws in Britain also needs to be determined. The FF Plus will rely on its relations with the British Conservative Party to submit their request to Johnson.

“Given the extreme racial polarisation in South Africa and the unravelling of social cohesion, the FF Plus has decided to take action against the guilty parties that planted the divisive and false narrative of ‘White Monopoly Capital’ in the South African community.

“On the one hand, the aim of planting this narrative was to create division for the political benefit of certain individuals and a faction in the ANC so that they can retain their position of power and leverage, especially with regard to having access to the public purse. And on the other hand, the aim was to draw our attention away from the unprecedented governmental plundering that is currently taking place.

“The plundering is so extreme that the entire South African economy is struggling due to less tax money being available for development, mismanagement and the consequent credit downgrade.

“It is time for the culprits that incite racism among black and white in South Africa and that undermine any real efforts to build good relationships be called to account,” says adv. Alberts.
