The Freedom Front Plus (VF Plus) will not be intimidated by seemingly deliberate and coordinated efforts to remove as many of the party’s campaign and candidate posters as possible across Ekurhuleni just before the elections.
The party is experiencing similar problems countrywide.
The posters of Freedom Front Plus candidates that were put up in informal settlements in the Ekurhuleni Metro have all been removed. In addition, a large number of posters have disappeared overnight in parts of Alberton.
The timing is suspicious and the impact is clear: with the elections just around the corner, it is virtually impossible to replace all the posters in time.
Our message, however, is simple: We will not lose focus. We remain purposeful, determined and focused on serving Ekurhuleni residents.
If other parties see the Freedom Front Plus as a threat, we see that as a compliment. It means our campaign makes an impact and our message is heard loud and clear.
The Freedom Front Plus calls on voters, supporters and candidates to remain vigilant.
If you witness Freedom Front Plus posters being removed or damaged, please report it immediately to our offices, the police and local security companies. If it is safe to do so, take photographs and share the location as well as all details relevant to the incident. Please do not confront anyone.
Intimidation will not stop us. Vandalism will not silence us. We remain focused on what truly matters: service delivery, accountability and a better Ekurhuleni.
Fewer promises. More service delivery.
