The leader of the FF Plus, Dr Pieter Groenewald, yesterday visited Ward 42 in the Tshwane Metro as part of the party's campaign for the upcoming by-elections in this Ward.
Dr Groenewald stated during his visit that the by-election, scheduled to take place on 3 August, offers residents the opportunity to send a loud and clear message to the ANC in the run-up to the general elections in 2024.
According to Dr Groenewald, the hope is to bring the ANC to below 40% in 2024 in order to make it harder for the party to form a coalition government with other parties and keep running South Africa into the ground.
Instead, a new and stable government must be formed by opposition parties joining hands to take South Africa forward for the benefit and in the best interests of all its people.
The FF Plus's recent growth proves that it will be an important role player in forming such a coalition government.
The party is, furthermore, committed to promoting communities' rights, and to enabling them to take more control over their immediate environments by cooperating with civil rights and other community organisations.
The residents of Ward 42, which includes Waterkloof, Waterkloof Ridge, Waterkloof Heights, Monument Park and Erasmusrand, are encouraged to bring about change in their neighbourhoods by voting for the FF Plus's candidate, Daniël Laäs, on 3 August.
Without change, there cannot be any improvement. By voting for the FF Plus, residents will show their support for the party's plan for better service delivery.
If the FF Plus becomes a stronger role player in the coalition government of the Tshwane Metro, it will strengthen the party's hand to serve residents more effectively and ensure that the Metro improves.
The FF Plus takes a strong stand against the causes of poor service delivery, which include cadre deployment, Affirmative Action and Black Economic Empowerment.
In the run-up to the 2024 elections, it is of cardinal importance to reinforce the opposition to these policy directions that have destroyed South Africa.
From the upcoming by-elections to the general elections, the FF Plus's main objective is to demonstrate and mobilise strong opposition to these ANC policies.
