The sharp rise in the number of often violent protest actions on public roads in the North West is alarming.
In the most recent incident this morning, protesters blocked the N12 highway through Potchefstroom with burning tyres.
The FF Plus wants to thank the police and local law-enforcers for their swift response and defusing this and other recent incidents of public protest in a coordinated manner.
It is, however, important for motorists travelling in North West to remain vigilant so that they do not find themselves in needlessly dangerous situations.
The FF Plus is calling on the public to join their local safety monitoring groups so that they are aware of such protest actions and are able to share the relevant information widely with others.
It will also make things easier for local security authorities.
The FF Plus will keep monitoring the situation and keep the North West community informed.
