The Freedom Front Plus (VF Plus) in Greater Pretoria will, over the next three months, unveil a comprehensive turnaround strategy for the Tshwane Metro and Pretoria as the capital city.
The strategy will be shared weekly through media statements, social media posts and short informational videos.
VF Plus councillors and candidates will personally present the various aspects of the plan to the public in simple, practical language. The VF Plus’s theme for the upcoming elections, “This is Our Time”, forms the foundation of this initiative.
The first phase of the plan’s roll-out is titled: “This is Our Time – to be heard”.
The objective of this phase is to invite Tshwane and Pretoria residents to share their own thoughts, frustrations and solutions with the VF Plus, so that the recovery strategy for the Metro and the capital can be based on their input.
We do not only want to speak — we want to listen. Pretoria is our city, and it is our time to stand together and restore it to the proud capital it ought to be. We invite every Pretorian to join us in making their voice heard.
This first phase is specifically aimed at making the people of Tshwane’s own ideas and experiences the gist of this turnaround plan. We do not want a strategy imposed from above, but wish to build it from the ground up in collaboration with the community.
The initiative will be launched from 29 May 2026 on social media, the internet, radio stations and other media platforms.
