It seems that it will not be compulsory for school children to be vaccinated.
A parliamentary question that the FF Plus posed to the Minister of Basic Education, Angie Motshekga, about whether learners in primary and high schools will be compelled to register for the Covid-19 vaccination, elicited an ambiguous "no".
The Minister's response was: "Learners will not be required to register for the vaccination seeing as there is no approved vaccine for children under the age of 18 years available in South Africa."
The FF Plus welcomes the fact that the Minister has provided clarity on the matter.
