The FF Plus will not be dictated to or intimidated when it comes to the conflict in Israel.
The Speaker of the Ekurhuleni Metro Council, Ms Nthabiseng Tshivhega, today insisted during a special council meeting that councillors stand and observe a moment of silence for the “people of Palestine”.
The FF Plus refused to participate in the gesture, and is of the opinion that the same homage ought to be paid to the people of Israel as well.
The FF Plus stands in solidarity with the people of Israel in their fight against the terrorist group Hamas, and will not be forced to unilaterally choose sides in council chambers.
The FF Plus finds it unacceptable that the Speaker did not condemn the calculated and bloody attack on Israeli civilians. Such conduct is unethical and inappropriate.
