This past Saturday, members of the FF Plus and AfriForum worked together to repair the potholes around the VC Superspar Centre in Craigholm street, Brakpan.
Like many other towns in the Ekurhuleni Metro Council (Boksburg, Alberton, Kempton Park, Edenvale and surrounding areas), Brakpan is negatively affected because its Metro Council is failing to perform its duties, like maintaining roads.
As a result, residents and organisations have no choice but to take action and do the necessary repair work themselves.
The team fixed approximately 14 potholes around the shopping centre. The tar was generously donated.
The FF Plus and AfriForum are involved in many projects aimed at addressing areas where metro councils fail to spend taxpayers’ hard-earned money wisely.
The FF Plus is calling on Ekurhuleni residents to, in the upcoming local government elections, stand up and stand with the FF Plus and ensure that competent representatives, who put the interests of residents first, take control of the Metro Council.
