Wilma, born and raised in Standerton, has been actively involved in her community since 2017.
In 2021 she joined the VF Plus and was elected as ward councillor for Ward 10.
Her focus is on service delivery, infrastructure, and creating a cleaner, safer environment.
Wilma has helped drive projects such as the replacement of the Coligny sewer line and the Kieser reservoir.
She is known for her accessibility, perseverance, and hands on involvement in municipal service delivery issues, while also regularly supporting community and clean up initiatives.
“I am not just a councillor – I am a mother and a resident who shares in the consequences of poor service delivery with my community.
I refuse to accept sewage, water shortages, and crumbling infrastructure as the standard our children must grow up with.
I may not be able to solve every problem, but I can promise honesty, loyalty, and perseverance.
For me, leadership is about listening, truly understanding, and continuing to fight for the standard our residents deserve.”
