Willie Liebenberg has been actively involved in community projects in Mossel Bay for 15 years, particularly in his hometown of Great Brak River. He was the founding chairperson of the successful Hersham Neighbourhood Watch and is also involved in the Community Policing Forum. In 2014, he established the Great Brak Sports Academy and was later recognised as Mossel Bay’s Community Builder and Sports Community Builder of the Eden District. Willie currently serves as a VF Plus councillor, focusing on responsible governance, service delivery and sustainable development.

I stand for transparent and responsible local government, effective service delivery and sustainable development that protects our natural resources. Development must be managed responsibly so that existing residents are not negatively affected by uncontrolled growth and excessive municipal charges. I believe in community involvement, accountability and practical action to help make Mossel Bay a better place for everyone.”
