Joana Vermeulen has been a well-known resident of Barkly West for almost 22 years. She has strong leadership qualities and does not shy away from a challenge. She will defend her position and she believes in fairness to all. She was part of the local neighbourhood watch and CPF and served on the school governing body. She is always friendly and respectful towards others and a candidate who will fight for her town and the rights of its people.
“I am a determined person who tackles challenges with conviction and easily takes leadership. With a strong personality and good organisational skills, I am very involved in my community. It is important to me to take a stand against poor service delivery, complete decay and unsafe conditions. Together we can make a difference in our town. I believe that everyone deserves to be served by a council; a council that puts the interests of its own community first.
