Giel van Niekerk, a VF Plus ward councillor candidate for the Ba-Phalaborwa Local Municipality, has lived in Phalaborwa since 2002 and served as a councillor for five years. As a member of the Technical Portfolio Committee, he understands service delivery challenges firsthand. His priorities include reliable electricity, clean drinking water, effective sewage systems and good roads. Actively involved in the community, including visits to the local old-age home, Giel wants to use his experience to combat decline and restore pride in Ba-Phalaborwa.
“With God as our foundation, we serve with truth and courage.”
