Frans Potgieter is the VF Plus mayoral candidate for Kgetlengrivier and candidate for ward 3. He matriculated at Hoër Tegniese Skool Rustenburg and, after national service, worked as an electrician, developing strong technical skills and a practical work ethic. Frans was a Kgetlengrivier councillor from 2016 to 2021 and has served on the Bojanala Platinum District Council since 2021. As a family man and farm resident between Koster and Swartruggens, he focuses on agriculture, service delivery, responsible leadership and solutions that make communities practically stronger and more sustainably self-reliant.

My technical background and experience in local and district government taught me that plans have value only when responsibilities, deadlines and costs are clear.
