Fanie possesses decades of leadership and legal experience as a former state prosecutor, magistrate (18 years), and detective.
He was a successful sugar farmer in Komatipoort and served as president of the Mpumalanga Agricultural Union and the Mpumalanga Rugby Union, as well as a director of SA Rugby.
In Piet Retief, he is actively involved as chairman of the Taxpayers’ Association and Bowling Club, an elder, and manager of a digital news page with 12,000 followers.
