Ernest Viviers is a well-known member of the Mossel Bay community and grew up on a farm in Ward 17. He understands the challenges facing a more rural community, including service delivery, housing, safety and infrastructure. Ernest has been involved in politics in Mossel Bay since 2016 and is also active in sport, both as a participant and in management. His connection to Ward 17 spans more than 50 years, giving him a strong understanding of the community’s needs.
I want to make a difference in the lives of people in Ward 17 by listening, maintaining open communication and working with the community to find practical solutions. I stand for improved service delivery, housing, rural safety, better roads and infrastructure, as well as expanding sporting opportunities. Close cooperation with the community and SAPS is important. I want to use my knowledge of the ward and my experience to put residents’ interests first and work with them to create hope and opportunities for the future.
