“Safety works when people know one another, share information and can respond quickly. My involvement in neighbourhood watches, firefighting and community organisations taught me that good coordination protects lives and property. I support a central control room that connects neighbourhood watches, private security and number-plate recognition cameras, with clear communication channels to emergency services. Technical equipment must be maintained and used responsibly. Local service teams and standby contractors must be ready when infrastructure fails. We can build a safer Rustenburg where residents do not stand alone when an emergency occurs.”
