Dankus Venter has lived in Standerton for a decade and has served as a VF Plus councillor in Lekwa since 2021. As a married man and father, he understands the challenges facing families in the community. Having seen his town and South Africa decline, he believes that teamwork, the VF Plus Constitution and his Christian convictions are needed to set things right. As a councillor, he is committed to accountability, merit-based appointments and fairness for every resident.
“I have seen first-hand how our town and our country have declined, and I know it will take many hands working together to put things right. As a married man and father, I want our children to grow up in a community where services work and people care. I have worked towards this since 2021. For me, it is about fairness, accountability and merit. I will never say something simply to win your vote – I believe in honest information, even when it is uncomfortable.”
