Cornelius Jansen “CJ” Bornman brings a lifetime of disciplined leadership, strategic planning and senior-level risk management to Madibeng. He obtained a BMil degree at the Military Academy and held several senior command posts during a 34-year military career before retiring as a general. He was awarded ten military medals and later managed a private risk-management firm. CJ also received recognition for nature conservation. He is currently conducting PhD research on immigration and migration in Africa, speaks several languages and remains committed to service, academic development and community involvement.
Madibeng’s recovery requires the same principles as any major operation: an honest situational picture, clear command and control, responsible people, realistic deadlines and continuous risk monitoring. Water, sewage, electricity, roads and finances must appear on one control dashboard, with early warnings when a target goes off course.
