Christo has been living permanently in Marloth Park, Ward 35 of the Nkomazi Local Municipality, for the past 14 years. After retirement, he has remained actively involved in community initiatives and found his home with the VF Plus three years ago. He currently serves on the Nkomazi Municipal Council, with a focus on infrastructure and service delivery. Christo believes in meaningful community involvement, responsible financial management and ensuring that funds benefit the communities where they are generated.
“I have always found fulfilment in helping others, particularly those who are financially disadvantaged. After retiring, I continued this passion through various community organisations before joining the VF Plus three years ago. I want to be a voice for residents who are too often ignored. Through community involvement and constructive working relationships, I have already helped address service-delivery challenges. It is our time to make that voice stronger.”
