Christiaan van der Vyver is a farmer in the Laingsburg district and has been farming in the area since the early 1990s. He is married to Johanna and they have three children. Christiaan is the candidate for Wards 1 and 2 in Laingsburg and brings many years of knowledge of the local agricultural and community environment to his candidacy.
I stand for responsible financial management, better service delivery and a municipality that focuses on its core responsibilities. I want to promote more opportunities for local businesses and job creation, limit unnecessary expenditure and ensure that funds are used efficiently. I also want to address corruption, the maintenance of the town and improvements to Laingsburg’s infrastructure and cleanliness.
