Charmaine Cowley was born and raised in Standerton, is an admitted attorney with her own practice for 30 years and also serves as Commissioner in the Small Claims Court in Standerton and Morgenzon in the district of Lekwa.
As attorney she is involved in the daily challenges of the residents of Lekwa, more specifically in the daily demise of proper service delivery, corruption and a “don’t -care” attitude from Lekwa municipality.
Her experience, striving for justice, accountability and responsibility towards all members of the community is her moral compass.
