Angelique Vermaak has lived in De Kroon and has worked with VF Plus councillors on issues for eight years. She served in the Community Policing Forum and was elected secretary of Sector 4 De Kroon. Angelique helped stabilise relations with Eskom so that faults could be reported and followed up. Her work experience includes customer service, administration, invoicing, reconciliations, debtors, creditors and cash flow. She is married and has two children. Her strengths are persistent follow-up, meticulous record-keeping and the ability to direct residents’ problems to the correct role-players.
“Residents lose trust when they report the same fault repeatedly without feedback or solution. Madibeng must clean up its consumer data, meter details, addresses and tariff classifications and systematically follow every account dispute. My experience with administration, reconciliations, customers and Eskom liaison shows that follow-up delivers results. I want to help build a system where residents know who is responsible and where problems do not simply disappear into a file.”
