Willie Spies was officially sworn in this morning as a Freedom Front Plus (VF Plus) councillor on the Tshwane Metro Council. He fills the seat left vacant by the departure of Grandi Theunissen earlier this week.
Spies, who is also the Freedom Front Plus’s mayoral candidate for the Metro in the upcoming local government elections, referred to Romans 8:28 during his inauguration speech, emphasising that we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him.
He also quoted Marilyn Monroe’s famous words, “Sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together.”
According to Spies, it is time for a new wave of republican, green and orange enthusiasm to sweep across the country.
The Freedom Front Plus’s provincial leadership wishes him every success, with the assurance that he has the party’s full support in his new role.
