The successful installation of a much-needed speed hump in Kiepersol Street, Flora Park, underscores the commitment of the Freedom Front Plus (VF Plus) to prioritising the residents of the Polokwane Local Municipality.
This initiative, driven by the chairpersons of the Freedom Front Plus branches in Ward 20 (Susan Clarke) and Ward 39 (Ben Jordaan), directly addresses the safety risks affecting children and parents at the Dimpeltjies Day Care Centre.
Mr. Jordaan played a key role through his hands-on approach and constant liaising with the Municipality’s respective departments.
Although the process presented numerous administrative challenges, thorough planning and frequent follow-ups saw the project through to completion on 16 April 2026.
The Freedom Front Plus intends to build on this momentum with the installation of another speed hump at Noorderland High School.
The zebra crossings at the main gate are not enough to effectively regulate traffic, and the party will keep fighting for improved safety measures at the school’s entrance and exit.
By successfully advocating for essential safety measures, the Freedom Front Plus is ensuring the safety of Polokwane’s most vulnerable residents.
These actions demonstrate the party’s focus on practical service delivery and its prioritisation of local infrastructure to improve residents’ safety.
