It is time that the allegations and denials surrounding the leaked Nkandla report of the Public Protector (PP), adv. Thuli Madonsela, are cleared in the interest of South Africa, Dr. Pieter Groenewald, the Freedom Front Plus’ parliamentary leader said.
The content of a report, which according to media reports is the PP’s report, have been making headlines and has even resulted in demands being made by various individuals for the immediate resignation of the president, Mr. Jacob Zuma.
According to Dr. Groenewald, there is great uncertainty about the issue as the PP has still not confirmed whether the leaked report is indeed the one that her office had drafted.
“This issue, in which the country’s head of state is being accused of fraud and corruption, is very serious.
“This can only be resolved if the PP releases a proper and comprehensive report as soon as possible so that all may know the true state of affairs,” Dr. Groenewald said.
