The FF Plus is becoming increasingly worried about the deterioration of zoos in Gauteng. The party will bring the matter to the attention of the Gauteng Legislature and will, thus, ensure that solutions are urgently found for the problems faced by the zoos.
After the FF Plus paid a visit to the Pretoria zoo, the party is concerned about the wellbeing and care of the animals. With the ongoing strike at the zoo, volunteers took action and started to feed and take care of the animals.
It is also clear that due to poor maintenance, both the Johannesburg and Pretoria zoos have deteriorated to such an extent that they do not only pose a danger to animals, but also to visitors.
