The multiparty coalition in the Ekurhuleni Metro Council was restored today during a council meeting after the DA's mayoral candidate, Tania Campbell, was successfully reinstated to her office with 124 votes to 99. There was only one spoilt vote.
The FF Plus, which supported the DA mayoral candidate, plays an important role in maintaining stability, like in the Tshwane Metro Council, Mogale City Local Municipality and the West Rand District Municipality.
The objective is to ultimately dethrone the ANC government in Gauteng in 2024 as part of a multiparty coalition.
Meanwhile, the FF Plus will do everything it can, through its negotiations team and representation, to restore and stabilise the multiparty coalition in the Johannesburg Metro Council as well.
There rests a great responsibility on the shoulders of every political party that is part of the coalition to, in the interest of the public and taxpayers, bring restoration after the trail of destruction that the ANC left in Ekurhuleni.
The FF Plus is calling on the voting public to check their voter status to make sure they can participate in the 2024 elections to take over the Gauteng province and ensure a better future for all.
Gauteng deserves better than the ANC.
