This week, the FF Plus along with the Mayor of the Ekurhuleni Metro Council provided significant support to schools in the Metro with the Metro Council’s Adopt-a-School campaign.
The objective of the campaign is to assist public schools in empowering learners to successfully complete their schooling.
The campaign includes visits to various schools in the Metro.
On Tuesday the 17th of January, visits were paid to Goudrif High School and the Elandspark School for learners with special educational needs.
Yesterday, a visit was paid to the Primrose Technical High School and today the James Nkosi Primary School.
The campaign also entails providing a mobile library for the day to the various schools. Knowledge is power and liberating, so, it is important that learners have access to books.
The FF Plus, on behalf of the Metro, also made a mobile clinic available to learners who do not have access to optometrists.
As an integral part of the health portfolio, the FF Plus wants to ensure that learners do not only have access to books, but are also able to read without the cumbersome burden of eye problems.
This campaign proves once again that the FF Plus cares about communities, schools and the learners of Ekurhuleni, and will not hesitate to provide support where it is needed.
