The FF Plus in Limpopo has lodged a complaint with the Human Rights Commission (HRC) against the Polokwane Hospital after the death of a community member's wife, which may have occurred as a result of negligence. According to the deceased's family members, their pleas for her to be taken to the ICU fell on deaf ears.
It is alarming that there are more and more allegations of malpractice and incompetent medical personnel made against state hospitals. In this case, the individual paid with her life.
The HRC has acknowledged receipt of the FF Plus's complaint.
The FF Plus will stand up for communities' right to receive safe and expert medical treatment.
