The FF Plus in the Tshwane Metro has called on motorists to adhere to all traffic rules at all times on the Metro’s roads during the upcoming Easter period.
The party not only called on motorists, but also on cyclists and pedestrians during the road safety campaign of the Tshwane Metro Police (TMPD) ahead of the Easter weekend.
The TMPD will follow a zero-tolerance approach to lawlessness. Proactive measures, such as roadblocks, will be used to ensure that motorists and their vehicles comply with the requirements of traffic regulations.
Statistics on previous Easter weekends show an alarming increase in accidents and deaths on our roads. It is vital to address this problem.
The TMPD will show no mercy to drunk drivers and those guilty of speeding.
The FF Plus also warns motorists against trying to bribe members of the Metro Police. Members of the TMPD who demand bribes from motorists should immediately be reported on the following number: 083 657 2998
The FF Plus wishes all Metro residents and tourists a safe a blessed Easter.
