The FF Plus referred the water crisis plaguing residents of the Makhado Local Municipality (Louis Trichardt) and the poor service delivery by the Vhembe District Municipality to the Premier of Limpopo, Stanley Mathabatha, for urgent intervention.
Mathabatha undertook to urgently meet with the FF Plus, the relevant departments of the District Municipality as well as officials of the Makhado Municipality to find solutions.
Power problems also pose great challenges and were brought to the Premier's attention as well.
In addition, the Vhembe District Municipality today issued a notice that the Albasini water treatment plant is not operational.
Some of the pumps are reportedly out of order and normal water supply will be restored as soon as technicians have repaired the pumps.
Residents are understandably frustrated and tired of begging for basic service delivery.
It is time for justice to be done and for these municipalities to be held accountable for their failure to fulfil their legal obligations to residents.

The FF Plus will continue to apply pressure and demand that solutions must be found for Makhado's water crisis and other service delivery problems.
Under ANC rule, Makhado has deteriorated from a once prosperous town to a dump.
Makhado deserves better than the ANC.
