The FF Plus in the Tshwane Metro Council supports the decision of the mayor, Solly Msimanga, to investigate allegations of irregularities in the Glad Africa contract in which the city manager, Dr Moeketsi Mosola, is involved. Therefore, the FF Plus will vote against the motion of no confidence that the ANC and EFF plan to bring in against the mayor on Thursday during the council meeting.
The FF Plus wants to request Msimanga to never back down, but to keep investigating allegations of corruption in the Tshwane Metro.
If the ANC is not elected to govern the Metro again, it will surely benefit the Metro Council and be in the best interests of the residents. The multi-party government, of which the FF Plus is a member, is committed to quality service delivery and the eradication of corruption, misappropriation and incompetence.
After governing the Tshwane Metro Council for approximately 20 years, the ANC's legacy is one of irregularities and poor service delivery. The multi-party government is already making progress in reversing this legacy and improving the municipality's service delivery and financial management in the interest of residents.
