The national leader of the Freedom Front Plus (VF Plus), Dr Corné Mulder, is currently in Mpumalanga as part of the party’s “It is Our Time” tour.
Dr Mulder emphasised that the party aims to make a tangible impact on communities that cherish Christian and family values, culture and their mother tongue.
The campaign’s objective is offering hope and reminding voters of the dangers of “wasted votes”.
According to Dr Mulder, a vote may be wasted in three ways:
• When an eligible citizen opts not to register;
• when a registered voter decides not to vote on election day; or
• when someone votes for a party whose values and principles do not align with their own.
The message is clear: It is not about which is the biggest party. Goliath was huge, but David prevailed.
With South Africa’s proportional electoral system, the era of single-party majority governments is over. Every vote carries weight and could change the course of a community.
So, the Freedom Front Plus calls on voters to make their votes count on 4 November – not only in a political sense, but also in the sense of shouldering the responsibility for their families, communities and Mpumalanga’s future.
The power of every vote lies in the fact that it could make a difference where it is most needed: in the daily lives of ordinary people.
