Debate in parliament: Money meant for the poor once again used to bail out SAA

Money that should have gone to the poor will for the umpteenth time be used to save the South African Airways (SAA) from a pit of incompetence and mismanagement and it will not be the last time. The ANC has fallen into the habit of shamelessly exploiting tax payers in this way.

It really seems as if the ANC government thinks that money grows on trees and that revenue tax collection is an inexhaustible source of income. The reality will, however, dawn on the government quite soon as it will realise that other people’s money can indeed run out.

The Bill's title contains the word “appropriation” which comes down to expropriation and, thus, it offers a very good description of what is currently happening in our country under the leadership of the ANC.

Expropriation is at the heart of the ANC’s policy and it is being implemented under the smokescreen of the developmental state which is using state departments and state-owned entities as a source of income for ANC cadres who are lining their pockets with other people’s money.

Here are a few examples of the ANC’s policy of expropriation which typifies its contempt for the country and its people:

• The ANC has "expropriated" the country’s economy and left us with a shockingly high unemployment rate that borders on a violation of human rights.
• The ANC has "expropriated" mineral and water rights.
• The ANC has "expropriated" the free market by means of Affirmative Action (AA), Black Economic Empowerment (BEE) and a maze of Marxist red tape.
• The ANC has "expropriated" the future of our youth by destroying basic education.
• The ANC has "expropriated" personal security by destroying the police service.
• The ANC has "expropriated" health by destroying the public health system.
• In a nutshell, the ANC has expropriated any hope for economic growth in the future with their Marxist policies like expropriation without compensation – which is the ultimate form of expropriation and which constitutes a violation of international and natural law.

There are many more examples of dispossession in the name of the so-called developmental state. It cannot go on like this, something has got to give.

On top of this destruction, the immoral situation is further underlined by the scandalous and recurrent bail outs amounting to billions of rands of state-owned entities where those at the top allocate inflated salaries and bonuses to themselves.

As a result, there is no money left for the Transnet pensioners because every last cent must be used to bail out SAA once again. And the pensioners' money was stolen.

It is this kind of immoral behaviour that will eventually lead to the implosion of the ANC and the people of South Africa must fight back alongside the FF Plus. A house built on the sand will not remain standing.
