The absence of clearly visible warning signs, physical barriers or enforceable height-control measures is obvious proof of the Ekurhuleni Metro’s failure to prioritise residents’ safety.
The party warns Ekurhuleni to stop ignoring the problem and gambling with people’s lives.
The Freedom Front Plus will hold the ANC and EFF coalition government directly accountable for any future loss of life resulting from their failure to act.
The situation warrants immediate intervention — whether through more obvious road signage, structural protection or rerouting traffic.
Waiting for another tragedy before taking action would not only be negligent, but unforgivable.
