The ANC chief whip, Jackson Mthembu’s, threat that the ANC will come to a fall if its members vote in favour of the motion of no confidence comes down to holding the ANC members of parliament hostage so as to retain their positions in parliament.
A ruling party that allows its leader to be captured and in so doing puts the entire South African economy in danger, which adds to unemployment and is to the detriment of the poor, deserves to come to a fall and be replaced by another ruling party.
Mthembu’s utterance actually indicates that the ANC is in crisis and therefore it is imperative that the motion of no confidence must succeed.
The FF Plus will vote in favour of the motion of no confidence and is mobilising its members to participate in protest marches against Zuma.
