The FF Plus demands that the Mayor and the Speaker of the Mogale City Local Municipality (Krugersdorp, Magaliesburg, Muldersdrift) must resign immediately.
For the past nine days, thousands of Mogale City residents have had to fight for survival because several neighbourhoods have no water supply.
During this time, neither the Mayor, Danny Thupane, nor the Speaker, Lucky Sele, once communicated with residents about the crisis.
No answers were provided to queries from councillors or residents. And there was no communication regarding the timeframe in which the crisis is expected to be resolved.
The contempt for Mogale City’s residents and voters demonstrated by the Mayor and Speaker during this time of need serves as irrefutable proof that they have no regard for voters whatsoever.
The FF Plus herewith demands the immediate resignation of both the Mayor and the Speaker.
