Vici Kiehm is the candidate for ward 18 in Rustenburg and brings a distinctive combination of safety experience, creativity and environmental knowledge. She served in the South African Police Service for 15 years, where integrity, trust and responsibility were central. As a qualified horticulturist, gardener and landscaper, she understands the value of green, well-maintained public spaces. She already assists residents with objections to mining that threatens homes and the environment. As a proud grandmother, she focuses on safe neighbourhoods, community participation and a liveable legacy.
“A clean, green and safe Rustenburg begins when residents can once again take pride in their environment. With my background in horticulture, I want to promote community gardens, clean-up actions, proper refuse bins and the restoration of street names and signs. Green spaces must bring people together, support food production and make neglected areas usable again. Development, must be transparent and respect residents’ safety, and environment. I want to ensure that communities are heard and that every project makes a visible contribution to a better future for all our children.”
