Giovanni Jacomina (Tokkie) Reinecke is a resident of Reivilo with a career in bookkeeping, sales, small business and healthcare. She is a registered Therapeutic Reflexologist and worked with ophthalmologists and other medical specialists for more than twenty years. Tokkie was active in community policing forums and led trauma support group in Secunda. She taught Sunday school and treats cancer patients as an act of service, without compensation. Her empathy, and love for people drive her to protect vulnerable people, hold government departments accountable and involve young people in community activities
“Greater Taung’s rural communities deserve services that protect people’s dignity. Water, sanitation, passable roads and safe public spaces are a priority. I want to see a public repair register that records every problem, responsible institution, deadline and progress update. In Reivilo and the surrounding towns, residents must know where to obtain help and when repairs will take place. I have worked with people in need throughout my life. I will stand up resolutely, especially for vulnerable people, trauma victims and young people, and demand sustained, honest feedback.”
