I believe a councillor’s first duty is to represent the interests of residents – and that means reading the documents, asking questions and not simply accepting reassuring answers. I try to help resolve service-delivery problems wherever possible, but when municipal red tape or poor administration gets in the way, I address it. I believe ratepayers deserve accountability, effective service and a councillor who answers his phone. I will continue to serve and would be honoured to do so with commitment, common sense and a willingness to get things done.
