Maria Louw was born in Sannieshof and has lived in Ottosdal since 2014. She is the proud mother of an adult daughter and serves on the church council of the Hervormde Kerk in Ottosdal. Maria was also involved in AfriForum’s local branch. In her work at Novon Protecta, she serves the farming community and understands the importance of agriculture to Tswaing’s economy. She participates actively in clean-up projects and cares deeply about the community’s well-being. Maria wants to uplift Ottosdal, make it more liveable and promote new local economic progress.
“Ottosdal and the broader Tswaing community can once again be clean, liveable and economically active when residents, farmers, businesses and the municipality work together. We must repair water, electricity, roads, refuse removal and public spaces . Complaints must be recorded, followed up and resolved. My involvement in the farming community and clean-up projects taught me that sustained service makes a visible difference. I want to be an accessible representative who listens, strengthens community partnerships and supports practical projects that help restore, strengthen and sustainably protect Ottosdal’s dignity and local economy.”
