Kathy Vogel is an experienced community worker and serves as an VF Plus councillor in Ditsobotla. Her career includes work as a pharmacy assistant, in a medicine factory, in the disciplinary division of the Law Society, in AfriSam’s safety and human resources division. She also received training in theology and missionary work. Kathy was Mrs Lichtenburg and remains actively involved in local community projects. She is currently helping to restore a house more than a century old as VF Plus offices and brings accessibility, perseverance and practical service to Ditsobotla.
“Ditsobotla’s recovery must be visible in every street and neighbourhood. As a councillor and long-standing community worker, I know residents are tired of complaints that disappear and promises that deliver nothing. We need a traceable complaints system, weekly feedback and clear responsibility for water, electricity, roads, sewage and refuse. Community , businesses and residents can help with clean-ups and preservation, but the municipality must perform its core duties. I’ll keep listening, follow up problems persistently and ensure that recovery projects rebuild Lichtenburg’s dignity, history and public spaces step by step.”
