Jurie Hendrik Botha was born in Delareyville and has lived in Ottosdal for 21 years. After matriculating at Hoërskool Schweizer-Reneke, he completed SAPS basic training and service in the K9 unit. His career includes farming, butchery management, diamond-mine maintenance, boilermaking and workshop management. Since 2015, he has owned CLAAS Ottosdal. Jurie served as an VF Plus councillor in Tswaing from 2016 and has served as a councillor in the Ngaka Modiri Molema District Municipality since 2023. He is focused, hardworking, optimistic, community-oriented and strongly principled.
Tswaing needs practical management that identifies problems, plans repairs and controls implementation. My experience in farming, maintenance, workshop management, business and the council taught me that infrastructure cannot function without preventive maintenance. Water pumps, electricity networks, roads, stormwater and municipal vehicles must appear on an asset register, with responsible people and fixed service intervals. Budgets and contracts must be monitored closely, while residents receive regular feedback. I want to use my technical and council experience to follow up problems persistently, enforce accountability and help restore reliable service delivery throughout Tswaing.
