Johnny Steenkamp is a businessman and resident of Robertson the last 26 years. He brings 40 years of experience as a senior manager in the corporate environment to his candidacy for Ward 6. Since 2004, he has been involved in his family business and serves as CEO of Bauhaus Property Consulting. Johnny served as Deputy Mayor of Langeberg from 2021 to 2024 and is currently a councillor. He is the party’s leader in Langeberg, regional leader of the Winelands region and serves on the Western Cape and Federal Executive Committees.
“I want to use my knowledge and experience to make a tangible difference in Langeberg. Good municipal governance starts with communication and cooperation with agriculture, the business sector, tourism, schools, churches and residents. We must plan ahead, budget responsibly and invest in infrastructure to ensure sustainable service delivery. I want to reduce unnecessary expenditure, promote affordable tariffs and encourage economic growth and job creation. My goal is a municipality that is professionally and responsibly managed, with safe, clean communities and visible law enforcement.”
